- Abstract:
The article contains a lot of new information on the inner circle of A.A. Olenina and her father, A.N. Olenin, who managed to surround themselves and their house with special artistic atmosphere, depicted in a number of literary and pictorial works. For 50 years, the Olenins’ house was one of the centers of Russian cultural life, therefore its owners’ connections help to disclose the biographies of many Russian cultural figures. In the article the mistakes made by the publishers of Olenina’s diary are corrected.
